Photo Women's Ministry Theme Ideas

This theme concept is for a photography theme. Cameras, photos, smiles! Oh my! I think this would make a really fun birthday party theme. You know…pull out those old photos of the birthday gal or guy and do a display board. Have some photo props and fun display areas for backgrounds and taking selfies. Maybe a photo presentation of someone’s life.

Photography Event Theme Ideas

This would also make a good women’s ministry theme for a retreat or activity because there are so many spiritual applications that can be made. “Captured Hearts” (allow Christ to have full control of our heart and life). How about “Bringing Our Thoughts to Captivity” (2 Corinthians 10:5). Or it even could be used as a “Portrait of a Lovely Lady” theme (being a lovely and holy woman for Christ). I can see this going in a lot of directions.

Icebreakers

Photo Scavenger Hunt
Have a photo scavenger hunt with cell phones.  Make a list of items that they need to find.  It could be things or what people are wearing during the event or you could plan ahead and take a trip to a mall.

Things People are Wearing Scavenger Hunt

  • The time this icebreaker takes will depend on the number of ladies you have in attendance.  You could give a set amount of time or if you have just a few ladies, go until one person is finished.
  • You could have one general question for them to ask the person who they take the photo of an item from.
  • Such as say, Sally is wearing a “floral scarf”, then the lady who wants to take a photo of it must first ask a get to know you question such as “What is your favorite Bible verse?” or “What is the most used app on your phone?”
  • Instead of a question, you could have everyone give a compliment to the person before they can take a photo of the item.
  • Pick 1 to 3 winners by having the first ones done run to the leader or check in place and show the photos they have taken. Make sure you ask them if they asked the given question or gave everyone a compliment.
  • Give a fun prize to the winners.
  • A few ladies will not have a phone, so make them feel useful by having them be the ones to check in the photos.
