There is a list of things that you can pray for concerning your ladies group on the website here, but listed below there are some tips to help you go about praying for those ladies within your women's groups.

These are methods to pray.

Recording Your Prayer Lists:

  • Index Cards

Use Index Cards.  This is what I like to do.  I put the name on the front and list out things on the back for each one. I like putting mine onto rings.

  • Phone List

Add them to a list in your phone.

  • Typed List

Type up your list of names and prayer requests on your computer and print it out - Okay that's very practical but worth mentioning.

  • Notebook

Record them in a notebook. You could make a page or two for each lady you want to pray for.

  • Prayer Jar or Basket

Type out their names leaving a little space between each and cut them apart into strips. Put them in a jar (or basket) and choose one to pray for each day or several each day.

Choosing the Days You Pray:

It's always good to mix things up so here are a few ways.

  • Alphabetically

Got a large group to pray for? Choose them alphabetically such as:

    • A-G - Mondays
    • H-L - Tuesdays
    • M-S - Thursdays
    • T-Z - Fridays

  • Daytime Slots

You may choose to pray for one of your lovely ladies a day or maybe, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening.

  • Take a Day Method

This is taking different days of the week to pray for different ladies.

    • Take a day to pray for all the single ladies.

    • Take a day to pray for all the married ladies.

    • Take a day to pray for all the elderly ladies.

    • Take a day to pray for all the middle aged ladies.

    • Take a day to pray for all the younger ladies.

    • Take a day to pray for the salvation of any of the ladies that you know have never made a decision for Christ.

    • Take a day to pray for all of the ladies that you know are struggling spiritually.

    • Take a day to pray for all of the ladies (families) that you know have financial burdens.

    • Take a day to pray for all of the ladies (or husbands of your ladies) who need jobs.

    • Take a day to pray for all of the ladies that are taking college classes.

    • Take a day to pray for all of the ladies that have young children (babies and toddlers)

    • Take a day to pray for all of the ladies that have health needs.

    • Take a day to pray for all of your team members.

    • Take a day to pray for all of your regular volunteers.

  • Every Day

You may have a shorter list and more time to yourself and you may want to pray for all of your ladies in your group every day.

Choosing the Length of Your Prayer

Choosing the amount of time you spend in prayer is important too. Not that we want to limit God or anything like that, but be sure to schedule in your prayer time. You don't want time to get away with you before you’ve finished your prayers.

Decide how much time you want to devote to each person or how much time in total you want to spend on praying for your ladies. Prayer is important. Schedule it just like anything else.

That's not to say that just stopping to prayer when you feel like it isn't okay or praying longer than you wanted. That's great, but it is easy to just not do it if it isn't scheduled into your day.

Choosing the Time of Day You Pray

You know your schedule best.  Decide when the best time is for you with the least distractions.

Choose a time when you are least likely to be interrupted.

Choosing a Place to Pray

It's so important to choose a good place to pray. It should be away from the hub of activity in your home.  Maybe even go outside on your porch or patio.

Find someplace that's quiet and peaceful to pray.

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."    James 5:16
