Color Scheme
- Lots of white.
- Something dark to contrast might be nice like a deep blue.
General Decorations
- Make a winter wonderland using artificial Christmas trees and cover them with snow. A great source for these is just after Christmas sales or even second hand shops.
- Use items such as a sled, skies, snowmen, outdoor ornaments, painted wooden snowmen cutouts
- Lay down some white material or drop cloths under your snow capped trees and snowmen.
- Take a clothesline and hang from one wall to another or corner to corner. Make it high enough so people can walk under it and use clothes pins to hang up mittens clear across the room. They don't need to match in pairs so odd ones will do. You could even pin them onto your trees here and there. Hang a few winter scarves over your clothesline too.
- Hang snowflakes at different levels from your ceiling if possible.
some in a bucket for decoration.
- Make snowballs out of Styrofoam balls. Just spray paint white and place some in a bucket for decoration.
For The Tables
- Spread snowflakes out over the tables. (See directions link above)
- Use snowmen figurines, knick knacks or wooden snowmen on tables.
- Fill tin buckets with white spray painted styrofoam balls and berry twigs. Place signs in the buckets with snow sayings.
Focal Point
- Snow People Cutouts - Use a large piece of plywood to make a free standing piece to use for a photo prop. Paint on snowmen. For the top or face of the snowmen, cut out a hole for your ladies to peek through for photo opportunities. You could probably do 2 or three snowmen (or snow women!). Paint on some character to each snow body with top hats, scarves, etc.
- Winter Mural - Make a park "skating" mural or use free standing wooden cutouts of skating kids.
