Ants always find their way to picnics, so they make a great Bible focus using Proverbs 6:6 "...Consider her ways..."

Teddy Bear Picnic (For Mothers with young Daughters)
Picnic in the Park
Pack Your Own Picnic
Decorate with gingham.
It's a picnic! You don't need any or very few decorations.
Bring out your style with how you prepare and set out your food.
Gingham tablecloths Simple arrangements such as wildflowers or daisies.
Mason Jars or Recycled cans to hold flowers.
Do a photo scavenger hunt with cell phones.
Use a jar full of beans and see who can guess the closest count.
A picnic is really one of those times you don't need a favor but if you must, maybe a summer item.
Homemade jam with gingham fabric over lid

Summer game such as a set of horseshoes, Badminton , etc.
Gift basket lined with gingham
Fill with sunglasses, a good book, small quilt or blanket (for sitting on of course), drink bottle, etc.
Just for Fun
If you have kids attend, have a watermelon seed spitting contest for them.
Have a large basket full of small quilts or blankets for people to sit on.
Items to take to a picnic:
Paper Towels or a Couple Small Hand Towels
Sports Equipment - especially if you have kids attending (balls, bad·min·ton, baseball bats and gloves, jump ropes, Frisbees)
Large Trash Bag (for clean up)
Camera (to make a memory!)
Food and Serving
Watermelon or any fresh fruit
