    Theme Verse Suggestions

even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of
    great price."   1 Peter 3:4

    Color Scheme
  • There are several choices. You can go the red and green Traditional or go with a Victorian style using mauves and burgundy. Gold and silver make stunning and elegant settings too. Nowadays you can find ornaments and Christmas decorations in almost every color.

    General Decorations
  • Christmas decorations (ornaments, garland, wreaths, artificial tree(s).
  • Using white lights on all the greenery will set a great mood along with lots of candles.

    For The Tables
  • Teacups filled with poinsettias.
  • Use a good size clear glass bowl, fill with a layer of shredded excelsior at the bottom. Place in a string of battery operated lights. Spread them out and around the edges of the bowl so you can see them. Then fill the bowl with lots of round Christmas bulb ornaments. Clear glass bulbs make a great look with all the twinkly light coming through them but you can use colored ones to fill the bowl as well.

    Focal Point
    • Christmas Tree - Decorate using lots of ornaments.
    • Cozy Christmas Corner - Make a cozy Christmas corner with a comfortable chair, rug, small table, lamp and a decorated fake fireplace. This can make a great backdrop for photos.
    • Winter Wonderland - Use several artificial trees with batting underneath for a snow affect.
    • Park Bench Scene - Put together a winter scene with a free standing park bench, "snow" under and around it, some "snow" covered shrubbery, a park sign with your "theme title" or some saying that would go along with your theme.
