Hi Ladies,
Had another question this week about a devotional for a Masquerade Theme. I've never done one of those. Frankly, most of the ladies I've worked with would never go for dressing up and participating in something like that.
But anways, I've had a few questions on this topic so I thought I'd put my thoughts here and if you have anything to add, please do.
- How God knows us no matter what disguise or pretentions we put on. --Psalm 139
That psalm is just full of things to show us God's love and how He knows us deeply.
- The picture of the prodigal son when his father sees him "afar off". Luke 15:11-32
That's how Christ loves us---no matter what we've done, or where we've been--he knows us and loves us. I love how it says the father sees him "afar off" because he knew that was his son even far away. We don't know if he saw the son's face clearly, if he saw the way he walked, or his mannerisms, but whatever---the father knew it was his son coming down the road. I just think that's a cool part of the story
- Have you ever heard Natalie Grants song, "The Real Me"?
This is one she wrote when she was struggling with bulimia talking about how God sees past her charade, etc. so I thought the lyrics might be good for this theme so I looked them up for you

As I said, please add your ideas
