Age / Aging

As the new year turns, we also get older. Does anyone have any ideas on a bible study or devotion about age and/or aging? I have to do this for our women's group in January; I'm a bit at a loss.

i checked out some of Julia's devotions that you might combine that would work about aging. Look at the following and see you could apply them:

Spring in Your Step (although this is geared towards spring, it's good)

Go to google.com and put in "aging gracefully". You'll find what the world's view is about aging and then compare what God's view is.

Lynne, Nice to see you in here again.

I have a devotional I'm getting ready to post. I'm not sure if it's really what you are looking for--It's called, "Having That Old Tree Age". Maybe not as much about 'age' as it is about 'maturity' as a Christian I guess. (using tree rings to relating to our layers and rings as a Christian and how mature we are) I'm hoping to get it posted today. Will let you know when I do.

Thanks Julia and Happily Retired for your insights. I love the devotional - that's exactly what I was looking for. I may add a few other Bible passages and Anna's service as well. Thanks too for the comical thoughts on age. I may lead off with that as an icebreaker - thinking of all the "age" old adages!
