Glory to God in highest heaven,
Who unto man His Son hath given;
While angels sing with tender mirth,
A glad New year to all the earth.

Time for New Beginnings

"This is a time for reflection as well as celebration,
-As you look for reflection as well as celebration".
-As you look back on the past year and all that has taken place in your life,
-Remember each experience for the good that has come of it
-And for the knowledge you have gained.
-Remember the effort you have made and the goals you have reached,
-Remember the love you have shared and the happiness you have brought,
-Remember the laughter, the joy, the hard work, and the tears.
-And as you reflect on the past year, also be thinking of the new one to come...
-Because most importantly, this is a time of new beginnings, and the Celebration of life."

by Taylor Addison

I am the New Year

I am the New year, I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.
I am your next chance at the art of living,
I am your opportunity to practice what you have learned about
life during the last 12 months.

All that you sought and didn't find is hidden in me, waiting for you
to search it, but with more determination.
All the good that you tried for and didn't achieve is mine to grant when
you have fewer conflicting desires.

All that you dreamed, but didn't dare to do, all that you hoped, but did
not will, all the faith that you claimed but did not have,
These slumber lighly, waiting to be awakened by the touch of a strong
purpose,
I am your opportunity to renew your allegiance to Him who said
"Behold, I make all things new!"

-Bible Illustrator

As we look into 2o11 we look at a block of time.
We see 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8,760 hours, 525,600 minutes
31,536,000 seconds, and all is a gift from God.
We have done nothing to deserve it, earn it, or purchase it.
Like the air we breathe, time comes to us as a part of life.

Obviously, time is one of our most precious possessions,
We can waste it, we can worry over it, we can spend it on ourselves or,
as good stewards, we can invest it in the kingdom of God.

This New year is full of time. As the seconds tick away, will you be tossing
time out the window, or will you make every minute count?

No one can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. -Unknown
 conclusion: We don't start over, but we begin again right where we are, making things better in our lives.

I see not a step before me as I tread on another year;
but the past is still in God's keeping. The future His
mercy shall clear, and what looks dark in the distance
may lighten as I grow near. --Mary G. Brainard

So here hath been dawning another blue day; think,
wilt thou let it slip useless away?--Thomas Carlyle

Waste no tears upon the blotted record of lost years,
but turn the page and smile to see the fair white pages
that remain.----Thomas Carlyle

One day at a time is enough...don't look back and grieve the past, it's gone...
don't be troubled about the future, it has not come yet, live in the present and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering! Let your past make you better not bitter. -Author unknown :happywings:

A New Year's Plan

And then I heard His still small voice
Saying, "Consider this simple, daily choice:
With each new dawn and close of day
Make new your resolve to trust and obey."

"Don't look back caught in regret
Or dwell on the sorrow of dreams unmet;
Don't stare forward anchored by fear,
No, live in this moment, for I am here."

"I am all you need. Everything. I Am.
You are held secure by my strong hand.
Give me this one thing—your all in all;
Into my grace, let yourself fall."

So, at last I'm ready; I see the way.
It's to daily follow, trust, and obey.
I enter the new year armed with a plan,
To give him my everything. All that I am.

Good morning, and welcome to flight 2013.
We are prepared to take off into the New Year.
Please make sure your Attitude and Blessings
are secured and locked in an upright position.
All self destructive devices should be turned
off at this time. All negativity, hurt and
discouragement should be put away.
Should we lose altitude under pressure
during the flight, reach up and pull down a Prayer.
Prayers will automatically be activated by Faith.
Once your Faith is activated you can assist other
passengers. There will be NO BAGGAGE allowed on
this flight. The Captain has cleared us for takeoff.
Destination GREATNESS.
Please re-post if you are taking this flight with me. :happywings:

I do not advise that we end the year on a somber note. The march, not the dirge, has ever been the music of Christianity. If we are good students in the school of life, there is much that the years have to teach us. But the Christian is more than a student, more than a philosopher. He is a believer, and the object of his faith makes the difference, the mighty difference. Of all persons the Christian should be best prepared for whatever the New Year brings. He has dealt with life at its source. In Christ he has disposed of a thousand enemies that other men must face alone and unprepared. He can face his tomorrow cheerful and unafraid because yesterday he turned his feet into the ways of peace and today he lives in God. The man who has made God his dwelling place will always have a safe habitation.
