Falling Before Jesus

...and came and fell at his feet. Mark 7:25
I was reading through some of the passages where people fell at Jesus feet and was impressed with the fact that the one thing that all of these people had in common is that they knew who Jesus was.
I think that is what we all need to be reminded of from time to time, Who Jesus is. When we think about that fact and all Jesus is, then our reaction will be that we fall at His feet by worshiping, loving, and obeying Christ. Our lives become more about Who He is than who we are.
Here are some examples of people who fell at Jesus' feet.
Jarius was one of the rulers of the synagogue and his daughter was ill and dying. Who did he go to for help? He went to Jesus because he believed Jesus could heal her.
And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet. Mark 5:22
The Woman with the Issue of Blood
This woman was going along with the crowd who was pressing on Jesus as He walked. She had been sick and even had spent all of her living on doctors but she had faith in what Jesus could do. She believed Who He was and reached out and touched his robe as He walked and was healed.
And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him... Luke 8:47
The Greek Woman (Syrophenician)
This Greek Woman had a daughter who was possessed by an unclean spirit. She went to Jesus because she believed He would be able to cast it out of her daughter. She believed in what Jesus could do.
For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet... Mark 7:25
Remember the ten lepers that Jesus healed? There was one who came back and thanked Jesus because he knew it was Jesus Who had healed him.
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks... Luke 17:15,16
Remember the time when the disciples were out on the sea fishing and hadn't caught anything all night? Jesus tells them to go out a little farther and lower their nets and they caught so many fish that their nets broke.
When Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus feet. He was so aware of Who Jesus was and who he himself wasn't.
When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken. Luke 5:8,9
When Mary's brother Lazurus died, she fell at Jesus feet because she knew if He was there her brother wouldn't have died. She knew Who Jesus was and what He could do.
Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. John 11:32
Stephen was stoned for Who he believed Jesus was. In death as the people were stoning him, he fell to his feet and looked up to heaven and to Jesus. Stephen knew Who Jesus was and he knew that Jesus was the only One who could help those people who were hurting him.
And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. Acts 7:60
When we fall at Jesus' feet, we forget all about ourselves. We focus on the Lord in front of us. Life becomes more about what He would have us do instead of our own plans.
I think when we fall at Jesus feet and concentrate on Who He is, it makes us begin to fall in love with Him more. In turn it makes us want to share Who He is with others more and that's what it is all about.
So, have you fallen before Jesus?
