Church Valentine’s Banquet Favors
2/12/09–Added more Valentine’s Church Banquet Ideas on February 10th’s post. Be sure to see those too:)
Still getting questions about easy and simple (and cheap) favors to do for church Valentine’s banquets. Today I have a couple to share with you. Nothing easier, simpler, or cheaper than a little bit of cardstock, ribbon, and candy:)
The one to the left is a mini candy tent. Cut a 2 1/2 x 6 inch piece of cardstock. Then score at 2 1/2 inches in. Then 3 1/2 inches in. This makes a fold up tent. Decorate as desired. Punch two holes in the top to bring ribbon through to close. I added a label to show how cute they could be for church banquets. They are very small but room enough to slide in a Hershey’s Nugget or a mini candy bar.
The second favor I have to share is candy pouches. These I made using a 3 1/4 x 7 1/2 piece of cardstock. Score at 3 inches in and fold down. Place candy in a 3 x 5 cello bag. Just fill less than 1/2 full. Fold down the cello bag around 1/4 inch and place inside. Punch two holes through to bring ribbon through. On these I punched holes in the middle on one and closer to the top on the other. Depends on how you want to decorate them.
I used the Love You Much Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to decorate mine. There’s lots of possibilities for these from the very simple to making them a little more elaborate. Just use your imagination:)
