Pixy Stix Valentines

Don’t you just love making homemade Valentines?  I made these last night using Pixy Stix for the arrows.  When I had made one, my daughter (almost 11) says, “Could you make 30 more of those”?  She wants them for her class now.   Her dad told her to start cutting out hearts:)

This is another one of those projects you can decorate however you want and run with it.  Love those kind of things, don’t you?

On thing to remember when doing these is that a regular hand held punch (1/8) is just a little bit too little for a Pixy Stix to go through.  I just moved my punch over. punched again and enlarged the hole a little.  At first I tried to force it through, but don’t do that or the stick will break and that powder will come flying at you before you can say “Pixy Stix!”.  It went all over my work area!  You have to fold the hearts slightly too in order to get the stick through because the Pixy Stix don’t really bend.  I didn’t fold mine completely with a crisp crease, just folded them slightly but I think they’d be cute either way.

Stamps:  Stampin’ Up! Love You Much.

Before some of you ask, I’ve made a heart template for you with 4 different hearts.  You’ll find it here.

You are so talented, I love your treat ideas. My kids always want treats for classmates. I want to make these for this years school treats. Would you mind sharing what did you attach the hearts to, pencils? Hard to tell in the picture. Do you just then adhere the heart via sticky strip to the pencils? They are even presented well, are they sitting in a tin can covered with cardtock. I could make the kids teachers a can boquet and the kids one pixie treat.

Thanks for your time and talent, blessings to you.

I love your site. I have got alot of great ideas in the past for having Valentine Banquets. This year we want to have a teen valentine banquet. Would you have any ideas that we may use for a teen banquet. I would appreciate your help. Just send some sights I can look at if you can. Or put my email address somewhere where people can send some ideas. Thanks, Guilda
