“Chalkboard” Teacher Gift Bag

Tomorrow is my kid’s last day of school before the break so I’m sending in goodies for their teachers.  I made little chalkboard-looking goody bags by cutting craft bags down in size and using cardstock.

The apple cores were made out of the Round Tab Punch from Stampin’ Up! The inside of the cores were made with the Round Tab Punch too and I just cut the ends down and placed them on the red one’s I’d punched out.   I punched a Wide Oval Punch hole in a couple of the bags for handles.

My son thought we should do one for our Crossing Guard too so we decided on making a stop sign for him:)

The “Chalk” writing on them I did with a  Gel Pen.  I put corners from the Photo Corner Punch on each corner.  I was going to add brads on each corner but I kind of thought less was more with this.  The applie cores, frame and corners I sponged with ink on the edges.  I made the backs basically the same and put my “to” and “froms” on the back.

You can see the white of the craft bag a little through the bag handle holes and if you don’t want that to show, just cut your craft bag down a little more.  I didn’t realize it until it was too late but I decided to leave mine the way they were because by the time I get the goodies in them (cookies and fudge in cellophane), you won’t see all that white.

Have a great evening,
Julia
