Scallop Circle Punch Vote Buttons

Hope you are all planning on getting out and voting today.  I made a few of these candy ”vote” buttons with the Stampin’ Up! Scallop Circle Punch last night.  My husband is working at one of the polling places today and he took some to give to his co-workers there.

I just ran off the “vote” in my Publisher program on white cardstock and cut them out, some with the 1 1/4 Circle Punch and some I just cut to fit.   I used different fonts for the “vote” and varied them all a little with stars cut from the Star Punch.  If you have an alphabet stamp set, you could always stamp the word “vote” across your “button” instead of printing them on your computer.

I sandwiched the thick gold coins (made by Palmer Candy) between the scallops.  These are not the thin gold coins like you get in the tiny bags, these are about as thick as a Peppermint Patty.  You could use Peppermint Patties.  I just like the way these are wrapped to look nicer and crisper.
