Creative Women's Ministry Planning Ideas

thanks for visiting!

Cardstock Coffee Treat Mug

I’ve been wanting to make a coffee mug favor since I put up the Coffee Theme on the site but could never find a good template for one so I finally just made my own.    (Not real ingenious, just basically folds, but it works.)  I made one mug in a Christmas Theme and I made one in a Valentine’s Theme as well.

The Christmas one has a hot chocolate packet, candy cane and mashmallows in it.  (You could use the Snowman Soup Poem).  The Valentine’s one has some red hots in a cellophane bag.   Other ideas would be to place in several packages of tea bundled up, friendship tea mix in a cello bag, individual cappachino mixes, or a small coffee sample bag.

These mugs don’t have a bottom to them.  I made them with just a strip of cardstock to hang in the indside of the mugs to keep the contents from falling through.   See the pic to the right.

I sponged the edges and the creases with ink.  There’s just something about plain cardstock that I just don’t like, so I have to sponge or do something.  I used to paint on everything.  Now since I’ve been doing Stampin’ Up! I have to ink everything and make it look painted:)  I think it just gives it more dimension and also a more finsihed look.

I think these are neat because you can choose whatever color of cardstock you want for the base,  decorate them however you desire with designer paper, ribbons, or stamps, and personalize them for whatever you want.

I’m working on another mug to go with the Women’s Ministry Coffee Theme on the site so be watching for it.

Download the Coffe Mug Template.

Have a latte’ stampin’ fun today:)

    Julie,
Thank you for your great ideas. I pulled our pastors’ wife for my Secret Sister and this is just a gem. In Jesus’ Name You Be Blessed,
