Fall Decorating “Blocks” Craft
Hello Creative Friends,
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year so usually the first part of October I dig out all of my fall decorations. Today I finished up a little crafty project I’d started on to add to my fall decor.
No, these are not wooden blocks but just paper boxes made with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and the Sizzix Box #2 Bigz Die. The boxes are just put together normally, but I did add an extra piece of card stock to the bottom of the box to cover where it comes together so that all the sides would be smooth.
The edges of the boxes are sponged with Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa Ink. The letters are from the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet stamp set (item #113510), cut out with the Wide Oval Punch and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals (foam mounts).
The punch art pumpkins are made with the Small Oval Punch and the One Inch Circle Punch. The vines and stems are made with the Swirls Scribbles Sizzlet for the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.
Above you can see how cute these blocks look sitting on my wood burning stove in front of my fireplace. Don’t worry, the stove doesn’t work so I won’t burn the house down with my paper blocks:)
Oct. 3–Adding a quick note since people are asking.
I ran the Pumpkin Pie card stock through the Crimper before I punched the pumpkin pieces out. Then the pumpkin pieces are sponged with Really Rust Ink before putting them together. Also the color of card stock used for the boxes is Creamy Caramel. As usual, all the products used are from Stampin’ Up!.
