Creative Women's Ministry Planning Ideas

thanks for visiting!

Butterfly Lipgloss/Chapstick Holders

Hello Creative Friends,
Just wanted to share with you some more from the Bigz Beautiful Butterflies Die.  This is a quick and easy favor idea.  Great for those of you who work with Girls Ministry and are always asking for ideas:)

Chapstick Holders

These are fun because lip-glosses/ chap-sticks come in all sorts of colors and labels today (even those character ones the kids like so much).  My youngest daughter is 11 and so she had a big supply for me to choose from to make a few samples to match my Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper.    You could even cover the chap-sticks with DSP to match your butterflies but I liked the fun look of the containers themselves.

On one of them I used a perfume sample.  Wouldn’t they be cute to use with perfume samples for Mother’s Daughter banquets as favors?

I made mine  simple.  Just Designer Series Paper (scrapbooking paper), hand held punch, ribbon, stamped tag, and the chap-stick.  These could be really nice embellished with pearls, buttons, brads, and what have you.   I just wanted you to see how cute they are just easy and simple.  The stamped tags are made with the Matchbox Messages stamp set.

I used the largest butterfly on the Bigz Beautiful Butterflies Die.  That is the larger one on the die that you fold the paper on the edge to make.   After you run it through the Big Shot, keep it folded and punch a hole through close to the center of the fold but leave plenty of room so it doesn’t tear.  Run ribbon through the holes and tie on your chap-stick to the top.

Remember, the Bigz Beautiful Butterfly Die is one that you can receive free by purchasing a Big Shot Die Cutting Machine directly through me this week.  See details on yesterday’s post.

Have a creative day,

Can you explain what you need to make the butterflies. Is it a punch or do you have to have some sort of die cutter and this is a template? Please let me know.

  • Julia says:

They are made with the Bigz Beautiful Butterflies Die for the Big Shot. You can also just use a pattern. Do a quick search in Google images and you will find several that would probably work well.
