Easy Bag W/ Scallops Die Backpack
Hello Creative Friends,
I’ve been wanting to do one of those backpack papercrafts that I’ve seen around the web only when I went to see how they were done it just looked like too many steps for me:)
Anyway, I realized that the Bag W/ Scallops Die we have from Stampin’ Up! for the Big Shot (Die Cutting Machine) had just about the same look as those “backpacks” so I used that as a base and just added some ribbons for handles, a pocket, and a little decoration. Kind of the same outcome, maybe not as detailed, but I wanted something simpler.

For the back, I added ribbon with Sticky Strip to make the backpack handles. I did them a couple different ways. I’ve seen them done with gromets through the back of the pack and adding ribbon that way, but like I said, I wanted this simpler. I folded up a piece of Designer Series Paper and put brads through it, then adhered it over the ribbon handles. That covered up the overlapping ribbon and gave it a fun look too.

Velcro dots are under the flap for the closure.
I thought these would be perfect to go with the Head of the Class Women’s Ministry Theme on the website. Read the Back to School for the Christian Devotional here.
These could hold a variety of things. They are pretty roomy. I think they’d make great holders for the Survival Kits that so many of you use. There’s a list of Survival Kit sources here. They’d also make great holders for teacher gifts.
Have a creative day,
