Patriotic Scallop Envelope Box
Hello Creative Friends,
Today’s share is a Patriotic Box made from the Stampin’ Up! Scallop Envelope Die for the Big Shot (Die Cutting Machine). This is an exclusive die made by Sizzix especially for Stampin’ Up!
I put some cookies in my box for a little gift but they do fit 3 x 3 cards and envelopes nicely too.
I’ve seen these made with 4 of the Scallop Envelopes and I’ve done them that way too but I like this way better because you can make them any width you want, just by adjusting your cardstock size for the piece in the middle that forms the sides of your box.
You’ll need:
-Two envelopes cut from the die in Real Red Cardstock using the Scallop Envelope Die.
-One 7 3/4 inch x 3 inch piece of Brilliant Blue Cardstock
-Six 1/2 inch x 3 inch strips of Whisper White Cardstock
-Star Punch
-Scallop Circle Punch
-Real Red, Brilliant Blue, and Whisper White Cardstock for punch cut outs.
-Ribbon for embellishment (I used Real Red and Whisper White 1/4 inch Grosgrain)
-Sticky Strip and Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals.
Crease the envelopes according to the die lines. Adhere Sticky Strip to the outside flaps on each side and one piece on the large flap (without the scallops) which will help form the bottom.
Score the 7 3/4 inch x 3 inch piece of Brilliant Blue Cardstock at 2 1/4 and 5 1/2 . Remove the Sticky Strip covering from the envelope pieces and adhere the cardstock piece beneath the envelopes to form a box. See photo to the right.

Adhere the white strips to the Real Red on to the front and back of the box to form your “stripes”. To keep the scallop part of the envelope from flipping up on the two sides, add a small piece of Sticky Strip underneath them.
Decorate with your ribbon, scallop circles, and stars and you are all finished. These make fun little boxes for all types of goodies done up for any season. Great for little doorprizes for your women’s ministry events..
Have a creative day,
