Big Shot Box #2 Purses
Hello Creative Friends,
Today I’m sharing some little purses I made with the Box #2 Bigz XL Die for the Big Shot (Die Cutting Machine).
These were a lot of fun and pretty easy. The Box #2 has a little flap on it that you normally tuck inside but I just added about a 3/4 strip of card stock along that where the crease line is adhering the strip to the topside so I could use it as an overhang flap.
I embellished the flap with one of the Circle Designer Brads from Stampin’ Up! and a couple of the tags from the Matchbox Bigz XL Die for the Big Shot. Other than that I just paper-pierced some stitching around the edges and went along them with an ink marker and added a card stock strip for a handle with brads.
To give a finished look, I added a piece of cardstock to the bottom of the purse with brads on the corners. On the inside flap and back inside of the purse, I used Walk In The Park Deisnger Series Paper (available in the Occasions Mini Catalog) to act as a purse “liner” and also to cover where I added the extra piece to the flap and the peircing holes. You can’t really see the side and front piercing holes inside when you open the purse so I didn’t worry about covering those, although you could line the whole inside if you wanted.

These were made with Not Quite Navy and Cameo Coral card stock from Stampin’ Up!
If you make any of these, I’d love to see them. Don’t you love how such a simple box can have so many possibilities?
Have a creative day,

Julia,
These are really cute! Love the little touches like the “stitching and brads on the bottom”.

It looks fabulous! I love the lining and the brads underneath – just like a real purse!
