Lifesavers Tin Purse Craft

Lifesavers Papercraft Purse

Hello Creative Friends,
I thought the Lifesaver’s Round Tin would make a cute insert for a papercraft purse using the Circle Scissors Plus.Lifesaver Tin & Tea Party Paper  I cut four 3 1/2 inch circles.  I wanted it a little bigger than the Lifesaver tin itself.  I cut two circles of printed scrapbook designer paper (DSP) and 2 of cardstock to put together.

I then made a peice of 2 by 3 cardstock and scored at 1 inch intervals at the 3 inch side to use as the bottom base. I covered my base piece with the same scrapbook designer paper I used on the circles but you could leave it plain depending on what color combination you want to use. I placed this base between each circle side. (see thumbnail below) I didn’t glue down the outside paper circles until I adhered the base so it would be between the cardstock and paper layers.

The flap of the purse was made by using a 3 inch circle and then cuting off about a 1/4 inch on each side. I used my Crafters Tool Kit from Stampin Up! and made stitching on the purse flap. I went over it with a gel pen for definition. (The Crafters Tool Kit is item #104310 on page 188 of the catalog.) The flower is cut out from the paper I used and adhered to cardstock to make an embellishment.  I placed the Lifesaver tin inside and just adhered it with a jumbo glue dot.

I know many of you Women’s Ministry leaders need little thank yous from time to time and I think this can be a nice little gift by adding a “lifesaver” pun. I ran off some sayings on my computer on cardstock. My tag says, Thanks for your help! You were a real “lifesaver”!

This little purse would also make a cute Secret Sister gift or a nice favor for the Women’s Ministry Purse Theme on the main website.

Have a creative day,
Julia
