Circle Scissors Plus Purse
I’ve been playing with that Circle Scissors Plus again. The photo is of one of the purses that I made. This is just basically circles put together with a craft bag in between. So easy!
On this one I used 5 1/2 inch circles. For each side of the purse you will need a circle from cardstock and one from the paper adhered together. I cut off approximately 1/2 inch at both the top and bottom. On some of them that I did, I didn’t cut off the tops but left them round, but I liked trying them different ways.
The hole for the handle is made with a 1 1/4 Circle Punch. I chose that size of hole because I wanted to edge it with a cut out from the Scallop Circle Punch. Be sure to cut your craft bag down so it is below your hole for your handle. The width of the bag I used was 3 1/2 and the depth 2 1/4.
I used the new Rockabilly Specialty paper from Stampin’ Up. (I’m not too keen on those skulls in that set but I loved the reverse side so I ordered it anyway:) It’s item #114039 on page 158 of the new catalog.
The cherries I made with a 1 inch punch. The stems are made with linen thread that I held down with a sponge and ran over a green ink pad to make it the color I wanted (a tip from my sister-in-law for changing your thread color). I just used a gel pen for the highlight areas.
I made more of these purses in different sizes and styles. I’ll share them when I get some photos taken of them. They were a really fun project and these would be a great favor to go with Mother-Daughter banquets which will be coming up or to go with the Women’s Ministry Purse Theme on the main website. If you haven’t read my “purse” devotional, you’ll find it here.
Have a fun-filled creative day,
Julia

Oh how adorable. Did you get up photos of the others yet, would love to see them. I agree with Stephanie, these would be adorable as real purses.
