Garden Banquet Favor Idea
I have just a quick and simple favor idea to share with you today. You can find these little pots with seeds or bulbs at various places. I got mine at Target in their dollar bins but I’ve seen them other places for a 1.00 as well.
I took the cardboard packaging off and covered it with scrapbook paper. The directions for the plant were on the inside so I didn’t want to make just a template but to keep the original cover as well. I used the Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! Then I just cut out the openings with scissors.
Fairly simple. Next I just decorated it a bit and put on a bow. The tag I added I just ran off on the computer. I thought these would be good with the Seeds of Kindness Women’s Ministry Theme on the site or any spring theme or great for a Mother-Daughter Banquet as well.
The flower on this I made with punches. I’m just loving these punch flowers to put on everything:) The Stampin’ Up! punches I used for this one was the Scallop Circle, 5-Petal Flower, and the Trio Flower Punch, and 1 3/4 Circle Punch.
The layer I did with the Raspberry Tart paper, I did by adhering it with a cardstock punch out put together to make it sturdier when I cut it. I sponged the edges with ink of each layer a little. Just added the leaves, two scallop layers, the 5 petal punch out, and then one of the little flowers from the Trio Flower Punch. I added a brad through all the layers.

All of these punches and more can be found on pages 184-185 of the new Spring/Summer Catalog. Stampin’ Up! has 39 punches available.
You will find all of the Women’s Ministry Themes on the main website.
Have a creative day,
Julia

This is too cute. I love this idea for banquet favors! I can’t wait to try it!
WOW Julia! Thanks for the template. This is stunning – and so easy! Love what you did with the circle scissors plus too. I’ve been mulling over that one. Is it really as easy as SU says? I’m a demo so I guess I can check it out. But its so much nicer to be here and see what you’ve done. You are one very talented & creative lady!
Regards,
Julia,
Did you happen to make a template from the packaging that the little pot was packaged in before covering it with cardstock? If so, I would appreciate a copy
I absolutely LOVE the way your little favors turned out. Great job! I shopped around at our local Targets this morning in hopes to find the pot kits for $1.00, but no such luck.
Keep up the great work!
Judy,
No I didn’t. But I have another one and I’ll take it apart and trace it out for a template. I’ve had a few other questions about it too. I’ll let you know what size the pot is too. It might take me a few days to get back with you…Julia
Julia,
I absolutely love your ideas! I would love the template for this flower pot and the size also. I’d love to make these for the women that I teach with in my church for Mother’s Day. I’m sure I’ll be able to use many of the other creative ideas you share, also. Thanks and keep up the beautiful work!
