Peppermint Pattie Candy Flower

I know you’ve probably seen a thousand things done with the Peppermint Pattie Candies, flowers included, but I thought I’d give a little twist on them.  I actually used the large gold coins on some of these.  I had 1 Peppermint Pattie and 3 gold coins in my stash.  Using what I have, you know:)

Using a Scallop Circle Punch,  I used 3 cardstock scallops on each flower, with a 1/2 inch circle in the middle of the top.

I cut each indent from the outer edge of the scallop just around 1/2 inch into the middle and sponged the edges a little with ink to make the petals.  I then glued one scallop to the bottom of the candy, one on top, and then glued the middle of the 3rd one and put it in place on the very top and then pressed with my finger inside and brought up the petals so it would look more 3-D.  I just put the inside circle on with a foam dimensional.

On one of the pink ones, I cut every other scallop indent so the petals would look a little heart-shaped.  It’s the one to the front of the photo (beside the blue one).  The other ones have more of a daisy look.

I put one of them on the top of a package just to show you how cute they’d be as package toppers for small gifts.  Be very cute on a Secret Sister gift.    I think these would be really cute for a bridal shower as well.  A whole basket of them would be really pretty.  These would also be a really great favor to go with the Upsy Daisy Women’s Ministry Theme on the website.  Great for Mother’s Day brunches too!

Happy Crafting,
Julia
