Apron Papercraft Favor
Please Note: Just to make you aware, I try to refer to the Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP) as “scrapbooking” paper for the sake of my visitors. I didn’t know what Designer Series Paper was either before I became involved in Stampin’ Up! It would drive me nuts when I read ”I used DSP on something” on other websites because I had been scrapbooking for years and never heard of DSP. I know most people refer to it as scrapbooking paper. So anyways, I know I’ve said DSP on posts before myself, but I am trying to improve and not say that or at least mention both. I went back and edited my posts where I did just say that. But I apologize to those of you who had no idea what I was talking about.
Okay, also, “scrapbooking paper” as a keyword on an average month is 40,000,000 to only 140 searches in for ”designer series paper” according to Google so I really do need to work on improving that:)
I try not to use abbreviations or acronyms for anything on my site because that’s not good for search engine position either and also my entire visitor base may not know what I’m talking about, but if I do slip and put a Stampin’ Up! product abbreviation in a post, just leave me a comment, and I’ll fix it. Thanks!
Okay, on to aprons! I’m working on an Apron Theme to add to the Women’s Ministry Themes on the main website so wanted to share an apron favor with you. I did this from Jersgirl’s apron template. It’s the fourth one down in her third column.
I used the Bella Rose Scrapbooking paper from Stampin’ Up! to decorate mine. To make the neckline look a little more like an old fashioned apron I just used a 1 1/2 inch circle punch. I’m not sure how large that template was suposed to print out but even saving it to my computer first as she suggests, mine printed huge so I had to reduce it. My finished apron is approximately 3 1/2 wide and a little over 5 1/2 tall.
I made a Proverbs 31:10 verse tag for the pocket I made, but you could also add a mini recipe card or a card with your event information. Don’t you love blank templates that you can do anything to?
For the back of the apron, I scored and folded a piece of cardstock to cover the brad backs and also to stand it up.
Will let you know when I get the Apron Theme posted to the Women’s Ministry Themes page. I keep trying to work on it but keep getting sidetracked. I’ve been sick with a bad cold and cough for about a week and a half and am just starting to feel better.
Have a great day,
Julia
