Gifts of The Earth Thanksgiving Card

Hello Creative Friends,
Today I’m sharing one of my Thanksgiving cards I made with the Gifts of the Earth stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

I stamped the image on Whisper White card stock and used the Blender Pens to fill in the image with ink.  Card stock used for layering is Chocolate Chip and Kraft.  I embellished with Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and some Vintage Brads.

By the way, I stamped the image on with Sahara Sand ink before filling it in.  It’s my color of choice when I’m going to fill something in with ink.  I like it because it’s not so stark as using black or a dark color.  Sahara Sand ink is also what’s used for sponging the edges and around the images.

This Gifts of the Earth stamp set is in the Holiday Mini Catalog on page 15 .   The Holiday Mini runs through January 4th.

Other Projects Featuring This Stamp Set:
Punch Art Turkey
Thanksgiving Blessing Boxes

Stampin’ Up! Snow Swirled Card

Hello Creative Friends,
Today I’m sharing a card done with the Snow Swirled stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  This is a very pretty set.   I especially love all the swirls in the tree stamp that comes in the set.

I used one of the snowflakes from the set to make the background by embossing with silver embossing powder and using the Heat Tool on Chocolate Chip card stock.  I layered with Olive Green card stock and more Chocolate Chip.  The tree image is stamped on Whisper White card stock and embossed.   I added a ribbon (Chocolate Chip Striped Grosgrain) and a pearl is tied on from the Pretties Kit.

If you are unfamiliar with how to emboss, you can find simple directions for this technique on the main Stampin’ Up! company website here.  This is the company website so be sure if you want to purchase anything from me to go over to my Stampin’ Up! Business Site.

I took a photo at a slight angle so you could see how pretty the embossing can be with this stamp set.  The set includes 6 stamps which you can see below.  It is item #111690 and is on page 36 of the current catalog.

Christmas Card Making

Hello Creative Friends,
Today is World Card Making Day so I thought I’d upload a card for today’s share of course:)   If you are unfamiliar with it, World Card Making Day is a day set aside to celebrate creative handmade card making and also the great connection that those cards have between friends and family.  It’s also a great kick-off to holiday card making and is held the first Saturday in October.

Not long ago, I was sharing with you how I love to make cards with cookie cutters for my template and today’s share is another one of those.  This I made with my glove cookie cutter.   This is one of my favorite cutters to make cookies with at the holiday season too.

The Designer Series Paper is  Merry Moments (item #115672) and the worded image is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (item #115370).

The little flowers are a die cut from the Floral Fusion Sizzlit Die for the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.  This is an exclusive Stampin’ Up! Sizzlit Die.

I’m looking forward to sharing some more of my Christmas projects with you next week.

Be sure to check your area events today.  You may still have time to get in on a World Card Making Day event in your local area.

See my Leaf Cookie Cutter Card post.

Have a creative day,
