Baby Shower Favors
Hello Creative Friends,
My oldest daughter, Kayla, and I hosted a baby shower for a friend over the weekend so I wanted to share the favors with you. They are simple candy tent cards.

These are made by cutting card stock to 2 3/4 inches by 8 1/2 , scoring on the 8 1/2 side at 3 1/2 inches in and then 5 inches to make the fold lines for the bottom. This is my favorite size of candy tent because you can get four out of an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock.
I used the Scallop Circle Punch on the front and slid in a cello bag of candy, punching holes in the top corners of the card stock and running ribbon through. I slid on some little plastic rattles that I found. I wanted some pastel candies to use but had a terrible time finding any so I ended up stacking 4 fruit flavored Tootsie Rolls in each cello bag. They just fit.

I made a diaper cake for a centerpiece for the shower. It was my first attempt at making one. It was my younger daughter (my 11 year old) Tara’s idea to stand up the teether for the topper. I thought she had a great idea:)

Breast Cancer Awareness
Hello Creative Friends,
As most of you know, October is designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I know many of you are busy this month working on your October get-togethers and ways to promote Breast Cancer Awareness through your ministries.
Over the next week or so I’ll be sharing some ideas for your events and some card ideas as well for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Today’s share is a simple 3 x 3 tent card share. (A 3 x 6 piece of card stock folded in two.) I’ve used the Ribbon of Hope stamp. It’s one of Stampin’ Up!’s $10.00 and under stamps so it’s easy on the budget. The worded saying is from the Refuge and Strength Stamp Set.
I think the Pretty In Pink color from Stampin’ Up! is the perfect color for your projects. There’s card stock, ink, and ribbon to match!

This project uses the Wide Scallop Oval #114889 and Wide Oval Punch #112082.

Butterfly Bookmark Craft
Hello Creative Friends,
Hope your day is off to a good start. Today I’m sharing another bookmark. This one is made with chipboard, Designer Series Paper (scrapbooking paper), the Beautiful Butterflies XL Bigz Die for the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, and some pearls and ribbon. The Beautiful Butterflies Die is an exclusive Stampin’ Up! die.
I adhered the designer paper to the chipboard on both sides and ran the die through the Big Shot. Next I punched a couple holes into the larger butterfly and just one hole in the smaller one.
On the larger butterfly, I ran ribbon up through the bottom hole and down through the other hole and pulled just a little through and indented the ribbon to a point with my scissors. It was tight enough that I didn’t even need to tie the ribbon.
I then pulled the other end of the ribbon up through the bottom of the small butterfly through the hole and knotted the ribbon and indented it also to a point with my scissors. Other than that I just embellished with some half back pearls from my Pretties Kit. The Designer Series Paper is called, Tea Party and the ribbon is Regal Rose 5/8 Grosgrain.
I’ve seen people make these type of bookmarks with really long lengths of ribbon but I like things practical and so I just cut mine to fit my bible. You can make your ribbon whatever length you want.
