Altered Notebook & Catalog Info

Hi Creative Friends,
Just wanted to make you aware that if you do not have the new Stampin’ Up! Idea Book & Catalog in hand, that you can view it online.  The original pdf file was extremely large so my husband broke it up for you in categories.  It took him quite awhile to do this so “thanks to Phil!”.

You can view the online version here.  (Scroll part way down the page).
You can also still get your own copy.
You’ll find the Spanish Supplement to the catalog here. (pdf file – 14.28 MB)
Be sure to check out our new Definately Decorative Brochure as well.

The catalog is full of products but it’s also an “Idea Book” as well and there are so many fun projects in this issue so even if you don’t think you are interested in the stamps and products–don’t miss out–take a look at the catalog anyways.  Lots of fun ideas for cards, favors, and goodies.   The photographs are lovely and it’s better than glancing through a craft magazine:)

Today I’m sharing an altered notebook I did with some of the products from our new catalog.  I’ve used our new Polka Dot Ribbon in a couple of our new In ColorsDusty Durango and Bermuda Bay.

I covered the notebook with card stock and the pheasant image is from the new Autumn Days stamp set.

Autumn Days Altered Notebook

I got several of these notebooks on clearance at Target awhile back.  These altered notebooks are great for taking  sermon notes and make wonderful prayer journals or Secret Sister gifts.  I think they’d be cute for the Back To School Women’s Ministry Theme as well.

Have a creative day,

Julia's Sigtag

Altered Spiral Notebook

Hello Creative Friends,
A few weeks ago my oldest daughter helped with a 60th Anniversary get-together so of course she engaged my help.  Thought I’d share a few pics today.  I made some of the Punch Art Flowers that I shared with you awhile back only I put the couple’s names on the inside, plus I double sided the flowers since it was for round tables.   The stamped image used on the tag is from the Full of Life set from Stampin’ Up! which is on the Dormant List.

Click here to view the flower photo.

My daughter bought a thick spiral notebook and had me redo it for a guest book.  Below is the results.  I covered it with card stock and then decorated it.  I ran the gust book wording for the top note die-cut  for the Big Shot through the computer first, then cut the top note out.  Yes! It did take me a few times to line it up where I wanted it. The inside of the book had pretty pages with a corner floral design so it was pretty inside too.   Since this was for an anniversary I added tulle and craft wedding rings to both of these projects.

Altered Note Pad Craft

Hello Creative Friends,
I found some really fun notepads that came with pens at our Dollar Tree here and just had to do something to them.  They were kind of cute in themselves but I love decorating notepads and such to make them just a little more special.

Altered Notepad ProjectThese are the type of things I keep on hand for doorprizes or little gifts to give.  These would be a really cute secret sister, teacher, or volunteer gift.

I just covered it with some designer paper (Bella Rose), added a ribbon and some of the felt flowers from the Flower Fusion set from Stampin’ Up!  Those are on page 177 of the catalog

Since the notepad set came with a bright pink pen, I added some ink to the edges of the pink flowers with some Pink Passion, a  Stampin’ Up!  ink color, to make it all match.

Altered Note Pad CraftI know photos can be deceiving, but this project is only 3 1/2 by 4 1/2.  The notepad inside is blank and unlined.  Over to the right  is the “before” of this project.

BTW, if you haven’t left a comment for the Blog Candy this week, be sure to do so.

Have a creative day,
Julia
