Punched Frog Card
Hello Creative Friends,
Yesterday was my son’s 10th birthday. He likes frogs and monkeys and so I decided I’d attempt a frog card for him. He loved it:)
I’ve seen various frogs done with punches. Here’s how mine came out.

I used the following punches–
Wide Oval (head, lily pad, and worded tag)
Small Oval (legs)
1 3/4 Inch Circle (body)
1 Inch Circle (eye whites)
1/2 Inch Circle (cheeks, eyes, and tongue -cut)
Designer Label (log -cut)
Boho Blossoms (flower on lily pad).
The grass stalk images are from the Autumn Days stamp set and the words are Chit Chat Rub-Ons.
Hope you all are enjoying your summer. I’m just thankful our highs have just been in the 90’s this week. Those triple-digits were too much for me.

Have a creative day,

July 4th Summer Celebration
Hello Creative Friends,
Today I’m putting together some of the projects I did for July 4th. A few of them I’ve already posted to the blog but I wanted to put them together as a grouping because I wanted to enter them into a contest.

The grouping features a Top Note Flower Arrangement, Top Note Place Card, Sparkler Pencil Topper, Lollipop Favors, Patriotic Goodie Box, Flowerpot Invitation, and Patriotic Napkin Ring.
Top Note Flowers – These are made with the Big Shot Die Cut Machine and the Top Note Bigz Die. What’s great about the Big Shot is that you can run a number of materials through it when using the Bigz and Originals Dies. For these flowers I used tissue paper for the white ones and plastic tablecloths (the cheap thin ones) for the blue flowers.
The points on each side of the Top Note Die Cut makes a great form to the flowers. The Top Note is an exclusive die made by Sizzix especially for Stampin’ Up!
I’m probably going to have to do a tutorial on these to show you exactly how I made them as it’s a little hard to explain. I can’t guarantee how long that will take me to get up for you. There’s 10 Top Notes on each and I made them using thin wire, wire floral stems, and floral tape. I made a variety of colors of these for a bridal favor fair that I did a few months ago. Click here to see a closer view.
Top Note Place Card – The Top Note Die Cut already has a great shape so I just folded one in half and made an easy name card. The stamped images are from the Independence Day stamp set which is retiring. You can only get retiring items through today (June 30). Last night when I looked this set was still available, but you’ll need to place item# 114992 into the search when you go to the “shop now” on my Stampin’ Up! Online Store to see if you can still purchase it.
Sparkler “Fireworks” Pencil Topper – I shared these with you on a previous post. They are simple and fun and make a great favor or to place in your patriotic floral arrangements.
I have a tutorial for this project here.

Lollipop Favors – Of course we had to have a small treat for the kids. These are Scallop Circle Punch Cut-outs attached to flat lollipops. The stamped image is from the Independence Dayset as well. A simple ribbon is tied around the stick. So quick and easy for an extra little goodie.
Patriotic Goodie Box - I shared this project with you before. It’s made with the Scallop Envelope Die for the Big Shot Die Cut Machine. This is another exclusive Stampin’ Up! die.
Find my previous post for this project here.

Flower Pot Patriotic Invite – This is another project I shared with you previously. I really enjoyed making this one. I think the Flower Daisies #2 Die make a great fireworks star-burst effect, don’t you?
Click here for my post with directions for this project.

Patriotic Napkin Ring – I don’t have a close up of the napkin ring, but it’s just a card stock strip embellished with the Flower Daisies #2 Die Cuts and a Star Punch Cut-outs. Very simple, but fun.

Kindergarten Graduation Favor Craft

Hi Creative Friends,
Today I’m sharing with you some candy pencils. I thought of this idea to make pencils awhile back and was going to put it up to go with our Back To School Women’s Ministry Theme later towards fall. Since it’s getting close to graduation time I thought this might also make cute Kindergarten Graduation favors by adding a “congrats” to them so I decided I’d go ahead and share the idea.
These are rolled candy (Spree and Certs) wrapped with crimped cardstock. The erasers are Rolo candies, the pencil points Hershey’s Kisses. I stamped the wording on the card stock first before I ran it through the crimper.
The “Congratulations” is from the stamp set called, Congrats, one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, The “Celebrate” on the smaller pencil is one of the new $10 and under stamps called, Celebrations.
I thought a wise owl was a nice touch for graduation so I used the owl from a new stamp set, Forest Friends, which will be available soon in the Mini Occasions Catalog . The new mini catalog will be released on April 1st.
I think the possibilities are endless for these. Think of just the pencil color possibilities alone. A red pencil might make a cute teacher gift. You could make “birthday” pencils, “get well”, etc. Hope you have fun with the idea!
Have a creative day,
Julia
