Kid's Biblical Costume IdeasWhether you need some ideas for your kids as an alternative for dressing up for Halloween, a church party, or even a church play, here are some simple ideas for biblical costumes for kids.
- David. Make him a harp to carry out of heavy cardboard.
Paint it with gold spray paint. You can glue on yarn for the
strings. Make sure you look around for a stuffed animal sheep
for him to keep with him.
- Rebekah. Have her carry a pitcher (plastic) on her head.
- Samson. Make a piece of a pillar out of a piece of rolled
up cardboard. Use duck tape to go around and keep it together.
Glue a piece of square Styrofoam over one end. Paint white and
add a few lines like a column. Make sure to zig zag the
cardboard on the other end to make it look like it was broken.
- Noah. Find a few stuffed animals to keep with him.
(two of one kind!) Small beanie babies size animals sticking
out of his pockets would work. You could also make a big rainbow
out of cardboard and paint and make a cutout for a handle for him to carry.
- 5 Jonah. Use some greenery from the floral department for
seaweed to weave into a piece of fish net and drape it around
him. You can make big water drops out of cardboard and duck tape
to the net too!
- Esther. Make her a crown to go with her biblical garb.
It's easy to just pick one up at Burger King and spray paint<
it gold. Then use tacky glue to decorate with craft babbles.
- Martha. She can carry a basket with a folded tablecloth or
napkins, a few kitchen items for her to be "cumbered about with
much serving"!
- Moses. Make a ten commandment plaque out of thick Styrofoam.
Paint with grey spray paint and write out the commandments with
marker
