BackTo School History Assignment

First Day of School for Women's Ministry

I hope you are all enjoying the Back to School time here on the website. I'd love it if you'd participate in my "History" assignment. We all learn from past experiences and history so I'd like your input at what you've learned through your past efforts, events, mistakes, and so on revolving around women's ministry.

I know your past history can be a big help and encouragement to those newer women's ministry leaders and pastors wives that visit the website. Maybe even those older ones. We all learn from each other. Any tips, helps, perspectives you'd like to share on Women's Ministry or on being a pastor's wife would be great!

Topics can be anything. Some suggestions are organization, planning, leadership, event-oriented ideas, dealing with probelms, missionary outreaches, mentoring, basic tips on working with women's groups, etc.

Here's a list of questions to consider for those of you who need help getting started. (No, you don't have to answer them all:) Just pick one or two or send in something on an entirely different topic. These are just here to give you some ideas and to show you the type of thing I'm looking for.

Assignment Due: As Soon As Possible (but I will continue to take them through the month of August)

  1. Share the one thing you wished someone would have told you before you became a women's ministry leader or pastor's wife.

  2. Share the best event--get together you feel your women's ministry has ever held.

  3. What's the best advice you'd give to a new women's ministry leader.

  4. What's the best advice you'd give to a new pastor's wife.

  5. Share the biggest mistake you've made as a women's ministry leader.

  6. Share what you think is the biggest thing that helps your women's ministry run smoothly.

  7. Share the thing that you think doesn't allow your women's ministry to run smoothly (Any roadblocks)?

  8. Share any organization ideas that have helped you in your leadership.

  9. Share what you've learned the most from being involved in your women's ministry group.

  10. Share a bible study topic that you think your ladies learned the most from (not a book title, but the actual topic)

  11. Share how you feel prayer has played a roled in your women's ministry.

  12. Share ways you've had an outreach to your community through your church women's ministry.

  13. Share ways you've had an impact on your church through your women's ministry.
For Your Submisions:
  • Please give your name and state in your email
  • (If you want to stay anonymous, please let me know in your email)
  • Let me know if you are a pastor's wife or women's ministry leader.

You DO NOT have to be a women's ministry leader or pastor's wife to participate. I'd love to hear tips and ideas from all angles and views of how things have been done within the women's group of the church that you attend.

Some or all of the entries may be printed on the website.
